During my travels through the mountainous northern region of Vietnam, I had the opportunity to spend several days living with a H’mong family. Experiencing daily life within their community offered a glimpse into a rich cultural heritage shaped by mountain rural areas, family bonds, traditional customs, vibrant textiles, and music.
What stayed with me the most was watching the children interact with each other. They inspired this character design exploration. Through these illustrations, I wanted to capture the warmth of sibling relationships, childhood curiosity, emotional interactions, and the moments of family bonding.
